Remote work is an important part of how Funcom operates today. As our teams collaborate across studios, countries, and time zones, we support different ways of working based on role, project needs, and business priorities.
While our studios remain key creative hubs, remote work allows us to bring talented people together and build great games in a way that is sustainable and structured for both employees and teams.
Remote employees at Funcom are part of our culture and day-to-day collaboration. We provide clear onboarding, defined working processes, and practical support to help remote team members stay connected and productive.
How Funcom Supports Remote Employees
The support provided to remote employees focuses on enabling effective work, collaboration, and inclusion:
- Statutory benefits
Remote employees receive the legally required benefits applicable to the country they are employed in, including health insurance, holidays, and sick leave.
- Equipment and onboarding
Remote employees receive the necessary work equipment, as well as an onboarding kit when joining Funcom.
- In-person collaboration and travel
When project or department needs require in-person attendance, Funcom supports reasonable travel and accommodation costs.
- Studio events and social connection
Remote employees can attend one major studio social event per year (such as a Summer or Winter party), with work-related costs covered by Funcom.
- Access to Funcom games
All employees, including remote team members, have access to the Funcom games library on Steam.
